Wastewater Engineer

We are currently seeking a Wastewater Engineer to join our team! This position will be responsible for managing wastewater treatment plant and lift station projects including expansions, rehabilitations, permitting, operation recommendations, and new construction. The candidate will manage engineers in training and design staff for the successful completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
Planning and forecasting of the projects
Keeping projects on schedule
Management of the project team
Ongoing reporting of the project progress
Reviewing plans and specifications
Signing and sealing construction plans and contract documents
Agency approvals including Harris County, City of Houston, TCEQ, and others
Timely review of construction submittals, pay applications and change orders
Training younger engineers appropriately
Ensure project documentation is properly kept on the server and organized
Wastewater discharge permit renewals
Required Skills:
Must be professional and reliable
Knowledge of TCEQ, Harris County, and City of Houston Rules and Regulations
Ability to coordinate and develop relationships with Municipal Utility District Operators
Ability to provide recommendations on process operations
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience wastewater treatment plant design
Experience with a variety of wastewater equipment

Job Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to noon.
